Fernanda Castellanos represented Mexico in the competition of Miss
Latina World 2008 which took place on October 2007 in Las Vegas,
Nevada.

Who is Miss Latina Mexico? Fernanda Castellanos was born in El Centro
California and raised in Mexicali, Baja California Mexico. Proud of
her Mexican heritage being raised has a young child in Mexico. Soon
after moving to the United States was inspired to pursuit modeling.
Miss Latina Mexico currently majoring in Psychology.

This last October was competing for the crown of Miss Latina World
where she was the winner of the title Miss Congeniality. "I consider
myself a winner since proudly representing Mexico."

Her passion is dancing Salsa, Reggeton, Folkloric, Jazz and Modern
dance. Last year was in a National Tour with Tequila Cazadores as a
spokes model. "We travel to so many places that I felt in love with
people, places and culture."

Who are your inspirations? "Would have to say Lupita Jones since she
is the first Mexican winner to be Miss Universe and also from my
hometown. Second would have to be Frida Kahlo because even though she
had suffered so much she never gave up and continue to fight for her
life."

What is your advice to young Latinas? "Never give up your goals and
never! never! forget who you are and where you come from."
