| Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- An annual meeting of the Executive Committee of the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association was held on August 18. A congratulatory letter from the Korea-India Friendship Association was conveyed at the meeting. The meeting discussed issues of informing the broad masses of India of the struggle of the Korean people to build a great prosperous powerful nation and achieve the country's reunification, expressing support and solidarity to them and making a substantial contribution to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in conformity with the mission of the association. The meeting reviewed the activities conducted by the association, formed its new leadership and discussed an action program for 2007. It adopted a message to Kim Jong Il. Present at the meeting were S. S. Chaman, general secretary of the Indian Union for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Vishwanath, director general of the International Institute of Juche Idea, and Suneet Chopra and Harising Khang, joint secretaries of the All-India Agricultural Workers' Union who are members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), K. S. Lao, member of the Parliament, and former Foreign Minister P. Shiv Shankar, chairman of the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association, and members of the association. |
