CattleNetwork.com, KS - May 24, 2008

MEXICO CITY (Dow Jones)--

The presidency said in a statement that the meeting was to "explore
the possibility of working together to continue taking measures in
benefit of Mexican families, particularly those with the lowest
incomes."

Consumer price data to mid-May, released this week, showed annual
inflation at 4.8%, its highest level in more than three years. Overall
food prices were up 9.2% from a year ago, with cooking oil up 51%,
rice 34%, bread 22% and wheat flour 30%. By contrast, average contract
wage increases in the first four months of the year were 4.4%,
according to the Labor Ministry.
